This was only the appetizer of today' s wonderful lunch at the foot of Gordes, in the hills above Avignon. Smoked salmon cannelloni.

After lunch we visited this eerily well-preserved ancient village of Gordes, then Roussilon. Tonight, after a brief  rest, we heard a fantastic string quartet play a private concert for participants of the KUSC tour. They are the Giraud String Quartet, made up of two sisters and their brothers, from an Avignon-born family of nine children!
