Norwegian director Hallvar Witzo talks about his Oscar-nominated short "Tuba Atlantic"

Reporter Kelsey McConnell talks to proud Norwegian and director Hallvar Witzo. Witzo’s short “Tuba Atlantic” has already received a Gold Medal for foreign film at the Student Academy Awards and now it’s up for a Best Live Action Short Oscar. In this conversation, Witzo describes the sublime nature of his country and his elation at meeting the filmmakers behind VHS tapes he played until they were “like an old sock” while growing up. Jim Svejda talks with film composer Alberto Iglesias

Spanish composer Alberto Iglesias stopped by with Jim Svejda to discuss his score to Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. The subdued but fiercely intense score is, not coincidentally, akin to Gary Oldman's also nominated interpretation of George Smiley. 2012 Best Score Nominee Howard Shore stopped by to discuss his collaboration with Martin Scorsese on Hugo, staying authentic with the 1930's musical practices & how Borat almost stole the movie.
