On Arts Alive this week, Alan Chapman asks LA Master Chorale Music Director, Grant Gershon, "what's the big deal with the Disney Hall Organ" in advance of the Master Chorale's "Organ Extravaganza" this weekend. Michael Linder reports on Classical Revolution: LA!, the group making happy hour at the Silverlake Lounge a little more melodic. Elaine Dutka talks with actor John Hurt--now starring in Samuel Beckett's one-man, one-act play Krapp's Last Tape at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.
Candace Allen, our woman in London, spreads the word about the Age of Enlightenment Orchestra's popular Night Shift program. The Age of Enlightenment Orchestra (OAE) is one of the world’s pre-eminent period instrument ensembles, but the Night Shift brings classical music into non-classical venues. Candace worked a Night Shift at The Old Queen's Head.

Kenneth Turan reviews two films, the small but mighty For Ellen and from Sweden, Simon and the Oaks.
