Three heavy hitters of the music world on Arts Alive this weekend!

From E.T. to Saving Private Ryan, composer John Williams has written some of the most recognizable movie music. This year, he garnered his forty-eighth Academy Award nomination. He's up for Best Original Score for the music in Lincoln. You'll hear John Williams in conversation with Jim Svejda on Arts Alive this weekend.

Soprano Renée Fleming and mezzo-soprano Susan Graham were recently in Los Angeles for a duo recital. On the stage, the share an occupation, but off the stage, they share a friendship. They told Alan Chapman all about it.

Dean Rob Cutietta is in the studio (and in Beethoven's head) for Ask the Dean.

ARTS ALIVE AIRS SATURDAYS AT 8AM.
THE SHOW IS AVAILABLE AS A PODCAST AT KUSC.ORG AND ITUNES
AND STREAMS ON STITCHER
