Kent Twitchell: We Talk to the Artist Behind Patriotic Hall's Newly Unveiled Murals
Even if you don't recognize the name "Kent Twitchell," you've probably seen his work. He's the man behind the mural visible from the 110 in Downtown called "Harbor Freeway Overture" featuring members of LACO. He also created the LA Marathon mural on the 405. He's painted murals of artists, religious figures and regular people all around the country - more than 100 total and most still visible - and his latest contribution to the walls of Los Angeles has just been unveiled.
Listen below to reporter Victoria Looseleaf's feature on Twitchell. He talkes to Arts Alive about his arrival in Los Angeles during "the hippie days," what he WON'T paint and his new murals at Bob Hope Patriotic Hall.
