The Bard at BritWeek
Co-host Joely Fisher & one of the stars of the show Harry Hamlin performing a selection from Henry V.
Britweek's Evening of Shakespeare, Music & Love celebrated William Shakespeare's 450th birthday. The evening's entertainment was produced by Louis Fantasia, an outstanding Shakespeare scholar and director of the Shakespeare Teacher Training Institute at the Huntington Library. Malcolm McDowell was one of the evening's cast members. He performed as Prospero in a scene from The Tempest. In attendance was film critic Peter Rainer, author of Rainer on Film. We talked to all three men about the continued relevance of Shakespeare, how his personal life is still a mystery and film adaptations of his work.
