The Hollywood Bowl Concerts on Classical KUSC

The Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl and 91.5 Classical KUSC bring you selected live performances from the this year’s Hollywood Bowl concert series. The broadcasts will continue throughout selected Saturday evenings through October 3rd, 2009.
The series is made possible through support of office of Zev Yaroslavsky, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors - Third District.


August 1st – Violinist Joshua Bell plays Bruch
August 8th – Pianist Paul Lewis in an All-Beethoven Concert
August 15th – Guest Conductor Lionel Bringuier leads Salonen’s Piano Concerto
August 22nd – Guest Conductor Marin Alsop and the Mahler 5
August 29th – Guest Conductor Leonard Slatkin with Sibelius’ Second Symphony
September 5th – Guest Conductor Nicholas McGegan leads an All-Mozart Concert
September 12th – Baritone Thomas Hampson sings selections by Mahler  
September 19th – Placido Domingo and Yo-Yo Ma both visit the Bowl
September 26th – Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet with a Romanic Feast of Concert Selections
October 3rd – Bramwell Tovey Closes the Broadcast Season with an English (Mostly) Feast
