Launched in 1931, the Metropolitan Opera’s Saturday matinee broadcasts are the longest-running continuous classical music program in radio history. The 82nd season includes 23 broadcasts through May 11, 2013. Margaret Juntwait is in her ninth season as the series’s host, and is joined each week by commentator Ira Siff.
