Magnificent Seven should have been #1 (in my humble opinion).

@kathy grossman Certainly my favorite for its genre! I would have categorized by "action" "romance" and some others. Magnificent Seven and Star Wars wiould both fall into "action" category. But IMHO "Magnificent Seven" score evokes action as well as romance to me!

I have enjoyed seeing most of these clips, and know all but 2 films. One of my favorite Westerns (and Musical scores), is "Magnificent Seven" based on "Seven Samurai".
Although all of these Movies have terrific scores, my favorites are this one "Vertigo", and "Ben-Hur" (One of the best all time Movie scenes is the Chariot Race!!). Unless you are in to Old Films, which I am, many KUSC listeners may not know all these movies. But one favorite is not on here. My favorite Western, (and also one of my film music fav's) ,"The Big Country" with Gregory Peck and Charlton Heston has a rousing, 'big screen' music score. I truly believe it is an underrated movie, and very sorely missed Musical Score by the Academy.
