Over the past year we've spoken with a number of the 2013 nominees, and you can listen to those conversations below. Jim Svejda talks with Best Score Oscar Nominee Alexandre Desplat

Alexandre Desplat has returned to Jim Svejda's studio to discuss his Oscar Nominated score to Argo. In this discussion, Desplat talks about finding the musical drama in the Iranian Revolution which lies beneath the violence. In addition, discussion of the most famous snub of this year's Oscars (Ben Affleck's direction) is indeed brought up.

The creative, almost mythological story of a community devastated by a storm won early critical praise and is up for several awards, including best director, best actress, best adapted screenplay, and best film.
