Our Classical Californian this week is Jeremy Cohen, violinist, composer, arranger, producer, and founder of the crossover ensemble Quartet San Francisco. They've been nominated for 3 Grammy Awards, won a tango competition hosted by the Argentine Embassy, and have been adding jazz, world, and bluegrass sounds to the string quartet repertoire for almost 25 years. He’s got a collection of works by the very young San Francisco composer named Vonn Vanier, Italian cellist Giovanni Sollima, as well as some of his quartet’s signature tunes.
