This week's Classical Californian is Radu Paponiu, Music Director of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. He'll trace his interest in music from his early days as a violinist in Romania, to coming to the US to take part in Itzhak Perlman's summer program, and turning to conducting as a masters student at the New England Conservatory of Music. There are works by Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, and Caroline Shaw.
