The Broadway sensation Hamilton has inspired a parody by a writer who has decades of experience doing such things.

Gerard Alessandrini’s Spamilton is running through January 7 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Alessandrini talked with KUSC’s Alan Chapman about the art of parody, the glories of Hamilton, and musical theatre in general.
