In 1964, “Seven Up!” followed 14 British children from varied socioeconomic backgrounds to explore the ramifications of the UK class system. Seven years later, director Michael Apted returned with the documentary “7 Plus Seven,” which checked in on the original participants. Apted has returned to film those participants every seven years, creating the landmark “Up” documentary series.
