Popular Bay Area pianist Lara Downes’ latest release is an album of music for solo piano that embraces America in all its forms. The title “America Again” comes from a Langston Hughes poem, “Let America be America Again”. Composers on this inclusive compilation run the gamut from female and male, to white, black, and Latino, to gay and straight.
